Summer is upon us, we are back from our 2 week vacation, and things are off and running! It looks like this fall is gonna be a pretty busy place around campus. We have a few very strong starts coming up, night classes are jamming, and there are definitely going to be more people on campus than usual…all of which are great things! If you stop by, you may even see instructors teaching different classes, and maybe a new face or two.
We have started using a new text book: Professional Cooking, eighth edition, by Wayne Gisslen. It’s a brand new book, hot off the presses. Not that there was anything wrong with our old book, but sometimes It’s just fun to change things up a little, keep all of us on our toes, etc. Based on the new book we are going to incorporate some new items onto the Du Jour menu, as well as switch things around on “family meal”. It’s always nice to play around with new recipes…we all get bored after a while!
Dinner in Du Jour will be making its triumphant return in a few weeks. Keep your eyes open, and make your reservations early. There are plenty of other exciting things in the works, but details are still being finalized, so stay tuned. Things at ACI are never dull….. Take care!
